Graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1997, Loris has been a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in the Province of British Columbia for the past eighteen years. He has strong ties to the local community, where he’s lived and worked for much of his entire life. Coquitlam has been Loris’s base of operations, serving the residents of Burnaby, Port Moody and Port Coquitlam with Dr. Jordan Myers since 1998.
Loris’s interest in body mechanics, anatomy and kinesiology evolved as part of his long-term love of bodybuilding, fitness and nutrition. During his time spent in post-secondary on the SFU Football Team from 1984-1988, Loris acquired additional and extensive knowledge related to treating general injuries and health conditions, as well as sports-specific injuries and how to prevent them.
The method of massage, treatment schedule and the therapy program that Loris recommends and employs are specific to what is the most effective for each patient’s physical condition and/or the injury being treated. The healing modalities include, but are not limited to, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, visceral massage, and joint mobilization.
Patients under Loris’s care range in age from five to eighty-five years with varying levels and degrees of injury and associated pain.
The entire Westwood Total Health team has created a results-oriented clinic that believes it is a fundamental aspect of healing to treat a patient’s underlying cause of an injury rather than simply the resulting symptoms.
Loris looks forward to helping you recover from injury and achieving optimal health through Massage Therapy at Westwood Total Health.
