Uma Acharekar is a Registered Physiotherapist with over 18 years of experience in Hospital and Community Health care.
She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy in 2006 and later successfully completed her Master’s Degree in Neurorehabilitation. She has a keen interest in evidence-based research and has a publication in the International Journal of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.
Uma believes in in-depth assessment and goal setting to impart optimum care to her clients. Her focus is to provide holistic care through the use of pain management techniques, manual therapy, customized exercise prescriptions, and elaborate home exercise programs to ensure long-term health and prevent recurrences.
Uma’s passion for pain management and rehabilitation has fueled her pursuit of continuing education and adding to her skill set. She takes up new courses every year and so far has successfully completed the following certifications:

Uma strongly believes in the ability to stay physically active, which is critical in the prevention and management of many illnesses. She is herself a fitness enthusiast. In her free time, she loves going for hikes, biking, kayaking, and enjoys playing badminton and tennis.
